How to make SHADOW GROUPS in 2003 domain?

Server 2008, domain level 2003, since there are CD 2003 on the network (if for one tell me how to raise the domain level, I will be grateful) It is necessary to implement the functionality of a corporate chat - Jabber (Openfire) was chosen Now I want to scatter users into groups corresponding to the OU, the search resulted me to the solution - SHADOW GROUPS. I ask for help, at least a theory of how to implement. Those scripts that are on bourgeois sites are large and incomprehensible. I ask for help, Dear IT community. Sincerely, Leonid

Leonid, there is such an option.
I also found an official manual for working with LDAP:
- Use a LDAP server to authenticate a user's identity.
- Load user profile information from a LDAP directory.
- Load group information from an LDAP directory.
PS: I set up Jabber, but I didn't have to in the domain.

xmoonlight, Thanks for your participation, I saw this article, but at that time the openfire was already installed and configured on NTLM. Everything is working. I need to make user groups there corresponding to OU AD. An example of a script that sorts users into groups based on their location in a particular OU =). Sincerely, Leonid.
