How to make postfix do a redirect?
Good afternoon.
There is such a configuration
1. A server with Ubuntu and postfix, which silently redirects all mail to server 2
2. a server on Windows Courier that receives mail and gives it to users
All mailboxes are internal, of the @firm.local type
, i.e. server 2 has [email protected], [email protected], [email protected]
As part of the transition from server 2 to server 1 and the transfer of mail, there is the following task.
Part of the mailboxes is transferred to server 1, while the rest remain on server 2.
i.e. postfix on server 1 searches for [email protected] and, having found it, puts mail in the mailbox for it, but it does not have Ivanov's mailbox, because he is on server 2, so you just need to send an email to him.
The problem is that I don't understand how to get postfix to do this redirect. And is it possible to do this at all if they have one domain! He is looking for a user in the virtual box, but he is not there. Judging by the documentation, it is impossible to force him to give a letter to the relay. But what if I didn’t find something? The configuration is somewhat strange, but a transparent transition from one to the second server requires it.
Thanks in advance for your reply!

I asked myself, I found the answer myself.
Not in a simple way.
It is necessary to manually list in transport_maps all local users that are located on the local server, and send all the rest to the relay.
