How to make paging activity?

There are similar applications, for example, a picture viewer, where you can "scroll" with your finger these very pictures. The task is to do something similar, i.e. the picture + text below it will also be shown. The question is how to do it? Need to dynamically create a new activity? Or is there some way to track the "paging" and load a new picture / text on it?
And how is this "paging" called in android (for sure there is some fashionable term)?
