How to make money for a beginner on low-level programming?

I want to earn, at least a penny (!), on low-level programming. Studied c, python, c#, java. Is it possible to earn money by programming microcontrollers or drivers? What are my options? Which direction to move? Tips... (web and application programming excluded)

Defense, microcontrollers, heh =))
What about the dark side of the force? Writing rootkits and bombing 0day holes can be as dangerous as it is exciting. The main thing is not to overdo it by reading the magazine ][akep or whatever is in trend/school now.
A student, due to the presence of a relatively large amount of free time, can easily hit something far from the mainstream, like VxWorks or QNX . Of course, it doesn’t bring money straight away, but with the proper level of effort, who knows ...
Well, more mundane options are to find something to your liking in the open-source world and develop in the direction of vacancies like this:

find on Habré one friend with the nickname dihalt and write to him in a personal. He once boasted that he could share the work. Not for free, of course.

Try yourself in the military-industrial complex. Due to the fact that, as a rule, salaries are not very high, they try to compensate for the lack of personnel with qualifications. Therefore, it is quite easy to get a job without experience at a defense enterprise. In addition, it is necessary to immediately destroy the stereotype about the backwardness of the defense industry. You can "get into the project" with a fairly fresh hardware technology stack. Good luck.
