I do through the menu, ie. I create an item in the "technical" menu and already refer to this link,
but a project appeared where it does not work, a 500 error occurs:,

Are you sure you are following the correct link? You never know, the extra space was copied...
In Joomla there was such a bug, like - instead of error 404, 500 popped up with the wording An error occurred while updating the database - in some cases. Look in the web server error log, it may be more informative there.
