How to make LESS work?

I attached the less file and then (behind it) attached the less.js file ( https://raw.githubusercontent.com/cloudhead/less.j... But for some reason I didn't see the generated CSS styles. What am I doing not this way?

Better compile to CSS, why burden the client with useless work

You need to put node.js and LESS on the local machine. And calmly compile your CSS.
IMHO, connecting to a Less.js web page is a perversion.
In general, I recommend using SASS (SCSS) instead.
