How to make layout for large monitors and resolutions?

Hello!
I 'm developing on a standard monitor 24" 1920*1080.
I made another project for the client, tested it - everything is displayed correctly, centered, etc., etc.
But the client said that everything is very bad (although this is already a 100500 project in a row and there were no such claims before)
After several hours of brainwashing, it turned out that this project should work on monitors larger than 24", in this case it has a 27" monitor. Although the design that he gave me was generally designed for the width of 1440 monitors (I successfully adjusted it to fit 1920)
And indeed, having a second 15" monitor, I slightly expanded the browser by more than 1920 pixels in width and saw how everything was going
How to test for large monitors so that there are no such problems? I think my method of expanding the window to the second monitor is slightly crooked and just not convenient
