How to make it ask for the password to the RDP server on Linux and Mac?
Good day everyone.
Given:
1. Server on Windows Server 2012 R2 with elevated role "Remote Desktop Server", in a workgroup.
2. Computers on Windows (most), a few on Linux Debian 8 and on Mac OS (I don’t know the version).
The server is configured to ask for a password when connecting to a remote desktop (via group policies). On Windows machines, this works, but Macs and Linux (including Android devices through the Parallels program) connect without a password.
Does anyone know how to overcome this? Thanks in advance.

If nix and mac had a normal implementation of the AD group policy client, they would be called Windows.
Your clients simply put a bolt on GPO instructions.
Turn on the authorization requirement at the terminal server level, without the use of GPO, and you will be happy.
Administration - Remote Desktop Services - Remote Desktop Session Server Configuration - RDP-TCP - Always prompt for password
I won’t say offhand for a long time I didn’t sit on Windows, but there is something about non-windows machines, go to gpedit
