How to make icecast2 and ices2 friends for audio broadcasting to the network via https?
A site with a free Letsencrypt SSL certificate installed hosts and broadcasts a stream from the organization's local network. However, the browser displays a warning about the presence of mixed content, since the stream is using the insecure http protocol. You want to eliminate mixed content. To do this, it was decided to organize audio broadcasting over the secure https protocol using icecast2 and ices2. Icecast2 developers claim to support installing an SSL certificate, and IceS2 should work seamlessly with icecast on the grounds that they have the same developers. As a result, we managed to launch icecast2 via http and https protocols, however, in the latter case, firefox and VLC issue warnings that the certificate is self-signed (openSSL) and is not trusted.
I doubt it's the certificate: in my opinion, ices should not care what certificate his icecast brother uses. What is the problem? In which direction to "dig"? I ask for your help, dear Khabrovites. Maybe there is a more elegant way to solve the mixed content problem (other than removing it, of course).
Below are the icecast2 and ices2 settings
