How to make hero models for a mobile game like clash royale?
I'm trying to figure out how to make hero models for a game like clash royale, I read about how hero models are made in supercell, for this they create 3d models of heroes, then from this 3d model they make a bunch of sprites for each hero and during the game they make frame-by-frame animation. Do I understand correctly that this is the right solution for a mobile game, or are there other ways that are less labor-intensive and more productive (because using the supercell method you get a lot of sprites and this will heavily load the phone ( or not? )) ?
Ps I understand perfectly well that the development of such a game is difficult, so there is no need to write about it

Whatever resources you have or can have, do so.
You can also display a 3D model, you can also spritesheet animation, and skeletal 2D. It all depends on HOW you know how to make animation.
As for the load - everything is ambiguous. Maybe 2d put the phone, and 3d fly.
