How to make Guloposhta for a domain work when the site crashes?

I'm not sure that I'm formulating the question correctly, so I'm describing the situation.

There is a domain on its LAMP server, a Gmail post (Google apps for domain) is attached to it. The server sometimes crashes due to various reasons, while Googlemail also crashes, because. DNS redirection requires the participation of the server (if I understand correctly).

How do I continue to host the site on this server and exclude it from the chain when delivering mail? I suspect that DNS for mail needs to be registered somewhere else, but where and how? The site itself is not planned to be transferred to a third-party hosting.

Take DNS, for example, from a domain registrar and business. Everything is simple and falls less often.
Well, either your own.

free.editdns.net/ - no complaints for more than a year ... records: A, AAAA, MX, CNAME, SRV, DNSKEY, LOC, NS, RP, TXT, PTR; supports DynDNS (I can suggest settings for DD-WRT if interested)… Supports AXFR (domain transfer)…
P.S. No ads, just the only free hosting I liked (tried a lot) :-)

To do this, you need the DNS service (Bind I suspect) to be on a different server. And in general, Gmail only needs registered mail servers in MX records from you, and one CN record to check access.
For example, you can use the provider's NS server or DC if they provide such a service.

Fear not, DNS hosting and website hosting may not be related in any way.
Just buy DNS hosting, many people sell this service. Or you can use free services if you have few domains. Here, in the Q&A, there were already several questions on choosing a DNS hosting, look for it. Many recommend Yandex, where you can host your domains on their DNS servers without linking mail to them, for free.
