How to make gitlab repository files available from webserver?

Hello, actually the situation arose as follows: there is a configured vhosts module and there is gitlab with projects. Is it possible to set up gitlab so that project files are located in /var/www/web/[project name]?

Make a symlink from /var/www/web/ to the gitlab projects directory?
Or for each specific project.
Or a script that will make these links itself, depending on the parameters.
