How to make friends with Bluetooth GPS receiver and location platform in Windows 8?
In new laptops and tablets with Win8, the built-in GPS receivers no longer work through the COM port, but through the Windows Sensor and Location API, and the programs in the market work through the Windows location platform. For compatibility of new devices with programs that still require a COM port, there is, for example, the Centrafuse-localizer program that creates a virtual COM port and sends data to it from the location platform. I have the opposite situation. I don’t have built-in GPS in my laptop, but there is a regular Bluetooth GPS receiver that transmits data to the COM port, so I initially have no problems with programs using the old approach (COM port), but there is a need to make friends with the receiver with the location platform so that programs using this new approach, got the coordinates. Tell me, is there a ready-made solution for this? Thanks in advance!
