Questions

1. If I specify rel=canonical, will the links leading to the selection remain in the PS? And, in general, is this canonical justified here?
   
2. If I don't specify rel=canonical, will I be penalized for an incomplete duplicate of the main directory in the sample?
   
3. Am I approaching the question correctly, as is usually done in such cases?

The approach is as follows: pages with a selection are separate new categories with their own title and url.
You do not need a direct link to it from the site, you do not need to close back links from pages. It is important to place unique text describing the sample.
You need to understand that a selection will be quoted if it is relevant in both directions (wisely I wrote somehow).

incorrect:
catalog page: houses
Selection page: White (in the selection list all products with this parameter from toilets to rockets)
Selection page: Stone (in the selection list all goods with this...)
in this case, there is logic and structure, cannonical, in theory, does not even play a special role, since you are creating a new page.
It is unlikely that you will get it for incomplete doubles, but you can make sure.

If I understand correctly from your text, these are just "Show all white" filters and several filters with a rhinestone Price + Property
Then just close everything superfluous in robots.txt
No need to fence canonicals, especially on already indexed pages.
