How to make firefox hang in memory like chrome?
Hello.
At one time, I found a cool opportunity to turbo chrome thanks to this thing.
The launch speed of the browser and all extensions has increased to a fraction of a second, the load on the CPU and I / O at startup has decreased. This of course will drive off about 300-400 megs of RAM all the time, but it's worth the candle.
I have a question. I would like to know if it is possible to do the same with a fox?
Thank you.
PS:
By the way, for those who already have 4G RAM, I advise you to enable this feature, although there was often a memory limit during development (netbeans, adobe, php, mysql, chrome 10+ tabs).

it used to be called Prism and was developed by mozilla, is now maintained by a third party and is called webrunner www.salsitasoft.com/2011/02/09/prism-is-now-webrunner/
Interestingly, I don’t see this in Chrome under Linux, or does this feature only work in the windowed version of the browser?
Chrome 23.0.1271.97
UPD. Found only "Keep apps running in the background after closing Google Chrome". This is it?
Did I not understand something, but why can't firefox just be minimized? And with the use of the win7 quick launch panel, there will be no difference.
