How to make different permalinks for WordPress pages and posts?

Hello. There is a blog on the VP, which has been using "simple" as permalinks for many years, such as site.ru/?p=123 for posts and site.ru /?page_id=123 for pages, respectively.
Is there a way to change the appearance of permalinks for pages only without affecting posts? It really needs to be done so that pages can be set normal urls, like site.ru/about , etc.
I tried to put "arbitrary" ones like "?p=%post_id%" , then it turns out for each page to set the url manually, and the urls of the records remain the same. It seems to be just what is needed. But there is a problem - navigation on the blog by comments and pages of entries (a post split into several pages) stops working. Tell me, please, is there an option to solve the problem, maybe with the help of some custom functions or something else, I will be grateful.
