Made a small calculator in C. Compiled for linux and windows. Everything is fine with linux, with windows too, but at startup there are incomprehensible hieroglyphs. Tried #include setlocale(LC_ALL, "Rus") - didn't help. mingw compiler

These are not hieroglyphs - this is a mismatch between the console and output encodings. Google, the answers were even on the toaster. A very quick answer is not to soar the brain and output in English.
