How to make code highlighting for blogger?

Advise a simple way, style is better , not a plugin that is loaded from a third-party site. I found several ways, but they are either outdated or require literally 8 files to be connected.

Highlighting code with CSS alone is not done because for CSS it must be marked up with HTML elements.
What is so difficult in editing the template and connecting, for example, this one https://highlightjs.org/usage/ - I don’t know. Three lines total.

As Moskus already said , highlight.js can be used . However, there is also the Prism library , which has different language coverage (for example, it has Jade highlighting). Therefore, I would advise considering both solutions, starting from the necessary support.
