How to make CNC for search engines?

My site is indexed in search engines like this - https://www.site.com/folder/page.php
And for everyone else it displays https://www.site.com/folder/page
If I remove extensions and index using htaccess .php in links, what will happen to search results? Will there also be an abbreviated version?

You have a CNC like the rest. Just at the end is the extension of the document.
The extension doesn't affect anything.
But if you remove the extension now, you will get a bunch of 301 redirects or, in the worst cases, 404 responses. In any case, stay
