How to make Chrome not mess up fonts?

Chrome browser does not display fonts correctly. Bold fonts look especially awful.

The same text in Opera:

It's hard to say after what the fonts deteriorated. Such a display on only one computer, from other PCs under the same Google profile (and with the same extensions) Chrome works fine, without distorting anything.

Have you tried chrome://flags/#disable-direct-write?
Also try resetting all settings in chrome://flags/ to default.
