How to make changes to the site on MODX?

Uploaded the project to the server and installed MODX Revolution. Registered chunks, etc.
There is a need to make changes - for example, make minimal changes to the main page, add a section, update links. How to do it?
The working version of the project is local, PHPStorm editor, build in Gulp, uploaded manually via FTP client.
I clarify the question - do I need to work with the working version and then re-register chunks, etc.? Or download a release version from the server, work with it locally, and then upload it back to the server? Or how?
