How to make backend for SPA?

I am a front-end developer with a strong focus on layout. Now I am mastering Angular, in connection with which there was a desire to start a pet-project. It will be a single page personal finance application. Frontend on Angular+Bootstrap.
Help me decide on what to do back-end and where it is better to host.
I don’t want to go deep into the backend. There will be some simple CRUD functions needed to work with the database.
Of course, the easiest way is to do it in php + mysql, but somehow this is not relevant ... And if you already have Angular, then you probably need to look towards node.js -> express.js -> sails.js or something like that . What are the options to deal with the backend to a minimum? And where to host it all later and how to deploy it, so that with minimal nerves? :-)

The most convenient, if you know js, is to study node.js by itself.
The cheapest and easiest in terms of free server and so on - php + mysql, whatever one may say.
