How to make API request limit different for [larval throttle] users?

Installed: Laravel v5.5, it is now possible to set global limits for all users [throttle:30,60].
Upgrade to v. 5.6 I can’t (dependencies don’t allow, I can’t do it on my own yet). I know that "Dynamic Rate Limiting" is implemented in 5.6. But maybe someone found a solution for version 5.2-5.5, how to make this value dynamic or connect it with a user setting?
