How to make a website with a course?

Get ready, the question will not be a bit stupid, but still I will be grateful for the help :)
What do you need to know besides html, css to create a website with an online course of learning something? Do I need to become a back-end developer for this, how long can it take? I quit web programming a long time ago, now I'm studying Java, but this topic got me interested. Sorry for the stupidity, I just want to know how complicated and long this process is.

Well, if you / the client are satisfied with a static site, then you can insert text / media content directly into the layout or use a site builder.
Or use moodle (course engine). I didn't test much, but it seems to be enough just to "deploy" on the hosting and then configure it in the admin panel.
If you want your own and "in a serious way" then yes, you need a backend. Know java - spring boot to help.
How long it takes depends only on how well you know java and how much time you are willing to devote to learning.

There are options. For example:
1) Any backend language + esquel, or a popular framework like Laravel / Django
2) Install a ready-made CMS a la WordPress + plugins, of which there are a lot of things today
3) You don’t need to know anything, pay money - take the finished site.

If the training is not related to web development, then any cms is in hand.
