How to make a simple registration module in Joomla?

I have been looking on the Internet for more than a day for some simple registration module consisting of two fields, a login and a password. Where can I find it, or how can I do it? There were thoughts of just copying the input fields with the form, but as I understand it, some other php needs to be connected to make it work.
