How to make a redirect from my-site.ru/index.php to my-site.ru in Modx Revo?

I want to redirect from my-site.ru/index.php to my-site.ru. I found this topic:

But the topic says about the plugin. It seems to me that the plugin will work better than the .htaccess code. And if I have nginx hosting, then even more so.
I don't understand what plugin they are talking about? Can you suggest me to download it? Or do you have to write it yourself? If by yourself, what events should be set for the plugin? The code is there, but no one writes about the events.
