How to make a platform-independent on-line video broadcast from a website?
There is a site with Appache and nginx under FreeBSD-10, broadcasting from video cameras is done using nginx-rtmp and flowplayer. Works on FF, IE, Chrome (requires flashplayer, which is not very good), does not work on iOS and Android. If you use HTML5 and HLS, it works on iOS and Android, but does not work on desktops.

On the site - determine the platform, issue the most appropriate format for this platform.
On the server, put something like wowza or flussonic ( nimble is also a good thing, but I don’t remember if it works with cameras) and give it to the site depending on the platform. Do not forget to protect your content from copying (you can limit the return to your domain). Also, do not forget to calculate the throughput for returns.
