Hello!
There was such a question. I want to try to sell the template on ThemeForest.
Finished almost the pages, it remains to make a gallery. How to implement it if the news feed is already busy? Plugins, as far as I know, are not allowed in ThemeForest.
I think there are settings in the theme, maybe make a tab in the settings where you can specify the category of posts, and this category will be displayed in the Gallery? Will it work?

Plugins are not prohibited on ThemeForest, they must be either freely redistributable or redeemed with the appropriate license, usually "extended". To offer the user to install them in 99% of cases, https://github.com/TGMPA/TGM-Plugin-Activation is used.
How the news feed and the Gallery are connected is not clear, these are concepts of different categorization.
What's stopping you from using the appropriate post format?

WP has the ability to specify a post type, such as a photo, a quote, or in your case, a gallery.
And in general on a question not absolutely understood that is required.
