How to make a gallery for the main page of a Wordpress site more logical?

Hi all. So there was a need to write a one-page site, I work with Wordpress. I understand that I do not know a logical way to make a photo gallery specifically for the main page.
Tell me how it will be correct in your opinion to implement the gallery. I had thoughts in my head about a special post or page. Perhaps there is a better solution?

With the help of Types Custom Fields, I usually start a variable on an image with a tick on multiple values. Convenient to add / remove images in the admin. Then I just display all the links to the images in the slider from the array. Straight into the main variables and shoved. Create an index page template, create a page for this template and set this page in the wp settings for this index page.
There are still a bunch of plugins that create their own galleries, which are then displayed with a shortcode. The same revslider, if I'm not mistaken.
