Pure js + css without jquery, how to make it so that there is no background but a picture?

If you already have a slider as such, but it shows the background on transition. Then you just need to set absolute positioning for all slides in the upper left corner (I assume that you have single-format slides). And after changing the visibility of the slide, move it down the stack using z-index)
