How to make a copy of the disk and restore it back?

I want to backup my mini-servers on Ubuntu and not only. It seems that the best way to do iso disks is through the dd utility. I understood how to create such an iso file, but I don’t know what to do with it, especially on Windows.
sudo dd if=/dev/123 of=diskimage.iso
There is a desire to figure out how to do it in order to quickly roll up copies and manage servers without fear in the future. Whether to execute dd from under the OS, or maybe remove the disk and do it from another PC. And how to restore partitions and disk name? Tell or give something to read. Or maybe just rely on special software? It's hard to find anything on Google other than creating a Windows boot disk.

You started right, using dd you create an image, but not an iso, but just a file, you can without an extension, it will be a RAW image. Then you can connect it in VirtualBox or write the same dd to another disk (or to the original one). The main thing is to make such a copy not on a live system, but by booting from a LiveCD.

Look towards CloneZilla, everything is step by step and simple

man dump
man restore
If these are virtual machines, backup using hyper.
