How to make a community (forum) from a wordpress site?
Such a situation, there is a question and answer site built on wordpress. I learned that there is an xenforo engine that makes excellent forums with all the necessary functionality.
And I wondered why not transfer the site to such an engine, with a different design. How laborious is this, and what are the steps?
On the site on my questions and answers, as well as articles. On WordPress - cutting something for the community is too difficult and expensive, but on such a ready-made engine everything is already there, it remains, in fact, to transfer it there and beautifully, neatly arrange

Hello!
Your question is about how to make a forum out of a VI, and in the description you ask how to do it in the xenforo framework.
I won't say anything about xenforo... But about VP I can say the following:
There are several options for creating a forum. For example, bbpress plugin.
https://ru.wordpress.org/plugins/bbpress/
Personally, I don't like this plugin. Because of this, I would recommend using forums like
SMF or phpbb if necessary and using the plugin to link the VP site to them.
Bundle plugins:
for SMF

https://ru.wordpress.org/plugins/smf2wp/
for phpBB
https://ru.wordpress.org/plugins/bridgedd/

https://ru.wordpress.org/plugins/wp-phpbb-bridge/
for NodeBB (you will need to deploy a node)
