How to make a bunch of react and laravel?

The question is, I don’t understand how to make a bunch, and I actually have 2 questions.
1) If you use a bunch of react and laravel, then how to place the directory, that is, first create a frontend and load the laravel folder in it. If I use create-react-app, then there is such a problem that both of these projects listen to localhost: 8000 That is, here I basically change the ports, but how to change links on the hosting? I just have never come across such an architecture on hosting.
2) How to implement authorization? That is, it is better to create a session base and there, in each route, react requests the information that is relevant to it and writes it all to localstorage? or somehow do it differently and is it better to switch to jwt? I just don't know if laravel has such an authorization system.
Or even use firebase?
