How to login to aws using ssh and pem?

Hello, the thing is, I took the first freelance order, they said to connect to the dev server, they gave ip, username and pem and a couple of days to figure it out, my questions were answered with 'google "login with ssh to aws server pem key"', googled but nothing I don't understand, can you help me. Please give detailed instructions on what to do.
