How to lock bootloader on android device?

downloaded OS for asus zenfone max pro m2 from this wonderful site. installed through custom recovery, which in turn requires unlocking the bootloader via adb. successfully installed the operating system, but now google pay says they say "the phone is either rooted or other settings have been changed." how to block the bootloader, so as not to give up pixel expirience?
