How to load XML file from console to MySQL database?

Hello, I am newbie and getting familiar with PHP and related areas. I was assigned the task of loading an XML file from the console into the Database, they also advised me to do it using simplexml, but unfortunately I am not at all familiar with this, and it turned out to be quite difficult to pull information bit by bit from the entire Internet, which made a mess in my head. The question is how to start this console at all and what code is needed for the file to be in the database (does it need to create some kind of table in advance or not)
