How to link two virtual machines in VirtualBox using NetBEUI protocol?

There is a virtual machine with a network connection in the settings of which the NetBEUI protocol is enabled and TCP is disabled. You need to connect this PC to another PC in a virtual network using the NetBEUI protocol.
I twisted the network settings in different ways, but there is no result :(
In connection with which several questions arise:
1. Am I checking the availability of the remote machine correctly by simply pinging it by computer name?
2. On the second machine, there is no "NetBEUI protocol" component in the network settings , as I understand it, you need to install it somehow, but where can I get it?
The network settings look something like this:

No. Here ping is a program that works on the basis of the icmp protocol (for Windows it belongs to the TCP / IP family - it was banned, everything is gone)
Potentially - in Windows components. But the NetBIOS protocol (aka NetBEUI) has been missing in my opinion since Win7. The protocol is very old, it supports only a peer-to-peer network (that is, only that network segment that is up to the nearest router), in principle there is no security in it.
It is not clear why in 2019 it may be needed.
