How to link from website directly to email app?

Good afternoon. There is a site in which buttons with links to the sites of mail services are made. I need to make it so that while browsing my site on a phone, when clicking on these links, the user is offered options to choose between a browser and a mobile application. Attached a picture of how these buttons look on the site.

The choice is kind of like it shouldn't be hard? this is a modal window with a question ..
but the transition to the native application is no longer so obvious. but Google to the rescue .. the
simplest approach, this is also a link, but with a different protocol - mailto
, in theory, should work out the default OS application
