How to link fragment and chrome tabs which was called from this fragment via pending intent?

I have a chrome tabs menu with menu items. I need to call a fragment function from chrome tabs when clicking on a toolbar menu item, chrome tabs was created from this fragment where i need to call a method. Each menu item uses a pending intent to do something (go to an activity for example) how can I do what I want? It seems like it is possible through broadCastReceiver, but I did not understand how exactly this can be implemented. I hope this can be done easier than I think :)
