How to limit the upload and download speed to/from Yandex.Disk in the Windows client?

I use the official Yandex.Disk client for Windows (currently version 1.4.21). I need to limit the speed at which he downloads and uploads files to his cloud. Just reduce the speed.
I am not satisfied that the Yandex.Disk client completely clogs my Internet channel when it downloads or uploads files. I would like to limit its maximum speed. In the client settings there is a checkbox "Limit the speed to one connection". But its inclusion does not lead to any noticeable results. And it is not clear how it should affect the speed.
Is there any way to reduce the appetite of the Yandex.Disk client to clog the Internet channel?
