How to let Transmission torrent traffic past vpn tunnel?

The point is this. There is a workstation on Ubuntu 14.04. She is connected to vds with white ip via openvpn. All traffic is through vpn. Everything works great.
But there is an unpleasant moment. Using vpn, I only have access to the maximum speed for vps, and my home channel is much wider.
As a rule, the 100 megabits available to me are needed only for torrents. I'm using the Transmission client.
The task is to teach the torrent client to use a local connection, not vpn.
--------
I imagine it like this.
All applications use tun0 and transmission eth0.
------------ I
studied this post habrahabr.ru/post/123140
only got confused.
What should I read for enlightenment?

On ubuntu: launch a torrent from another user, then serverfault.com/questions/617915/pbr-with-iptables (here I ask a question about the reverse solution, but it does not change the essence)
