How to legally register a startup if the co-founders are citizens of different countries?

He came up with and carefully worked out the idea of a mobile application. There is a prototype, job stories, maps with user flows that describe key user actions, and I am preparing technical specifications. To create an MVP, I am looking for an android developer for a share in the company.
I know that it is difficult to find such a shareholder. Therefore, I consider international platforms in order to have a greater choice and at least a greater statistical probability of a successful connection.
Hence the main question: how are such transactions with foreign partners formalized and what pitfalls can be in such situations?
Also, perhaps, someone faced the question of how to protect their own developments from theft by a potential, or even an accomplished partner? Indeed, for full-fledged cooperation, they will have to be shown to the developer.

@sokolov_nsk

Are you in Russia?)
If so, it's not too difficult. In an LLC, a participant may well be a citizen of another country, and, in theory, the same documents are needed as for a resident of Russia. In practice, I did not come across, for sure, delays are possible. And you will need the personal presence of a person, which can create some problems for you)
It would be best to contact lawyers, they will do everything for you. Registering an LLC costs an average of 2-3 thousand, which is not much.
As for protecting your own developments, everything is much more complicated. Theoretically, you have all the rights to these developments from the moment they are created. In practice, if your partner uses them without your knowledge, you will get tired of suing. An easy option is to send copies by registered mail to yourself and not pick them up until problems arise. Or put in a cell in a bank, having previously certified by a notary, of course with the date of certification.

@Pointman

Depends on the country in which you will register. From what you want to dance, from taxes it is possible, from the ease of registration, in general, different options and design are accordingly different.

Most of all, the question of the start of cooperation worries.
If a person agreed to cooperate, they issued documents, and after a couple of weeks he burned out and the process stopped.
Or the other extreme - his competence was not enough, despite the assurances at the beginning.
What is usually done in such situations?
