How to legally fork a library with an MIT license?

Good afternoon.

There is an open-source PHP library distributed under the MIT license.

How to fork a library so that it becomes part of another open source library, also distributed under the MIT license? This is a short question.

In detail: there is a library: nilportugues/php-sql-query-builder, a sql query builder, as the name suggests. There is a need to use it as part of a more generalized DBAL library, including it in the code, changing namespaces, and so on.

So, what and how to specify in the License file? In the script headers of this library?
