How to left align code using highlightjs?

I'm using highlight.js to showcase code snippets on a site I'm building with Gulp 4 .
The trick is that I do these inserts in separate html templates (components) that hook to the index.html main page using the gulp-rigger plugin .
The html template with the code is inserted into the main page and indented as spaces on the left:




How can this be fixed?
