How to leave only "pickup" for some items in opencart 1.5.6.4?

It is necessary to implement a special delivery option for certain opencart products.
When purchasing some products that, to the best of their specifics, cannot be delivered by postal services, they should be released only through "pickup", the rest of the delivery options should be hidden if there is at least one product in the basket that is marked as "pickup only".
I would love to find a simple solution without modules/extensions.
I thought maybe create an attribute "pickup only", and in the presence of such an attribute, just hide all options except "pickup", but it smacks of crutches. (-;
