How to learn node.js at 2017?
There is much less information on the back than on the front, and now I would like to know from people who understand:
1. What books would you recommend on node.js.
2. Courses/forums.
3. What projects can be implemented, for practice.
4. Articles ala' preparation plan for node.js junior
There is knowledge of native js, jQuery and layout - a couple of projects have been implemented.
I want to build the right actions leading to the result.
Thank you!

There is an opinion that the fashion for NodeJS is already leaving.
The euphoria about the versatility of this product has passed, and you need to think a lot about where you will apply it. Perhaps as a platform for building a project...
PS In order not to be stoned, I'll add that any product also needs to be evaluated in terms of its performance, and the above has a number of unrecoverable shortcomings in this regard.
Although it is already outdated, Kantor's screencast will give you the basic concept, and then everything in practice.
For learning node.js for background, I would recommend the golang documentation :)
Is learning nodejs something fundamentally different from learning other platforms / languages?))
Go to the bookstore, ask for a book, read an arbitrary paragraph somewhere in the middle. If it's not at all clear what is written about - the book does not suit you, ask for another one.
Read and practice.
There are a lot of tutorials on node.js here, there are both separate node.js and coupled with frameworks. In general, tutors are just a kick in the ass, you also need to write something yourself or ask for tests from companies for this vacancy
https://nodeschool.io/ru/#workshopper-list - learnyounode, allows you to understand the basics.

The basics fly in one, two. Probably the most adequate tutorial for beginners.
