There is a Sony TV, there is a remote control from it. How to find out the frequency of the remote control in order to choose an IR receiver for it?
I watched the documentation on TV, separately on the remote control, used Google, information 0. Only approximate data at the level of “maybe” and “most likely”.
How to accurately know its frequency in order to select the appropriate receiver?

Well, let's complicate the task.
I have a laser tag gun that "shoots" IR signals.
VS1838 receives signals, but with distortion, since the frequency does not match.
So the question is: How to find out the frequency of the IR signal?
In general, a year later, I am ready to give an adequate, proven method.
Replace the frequency of the sent signal with an oscilloscope.
Personally, I used the simplest DSO138.
I connected the probes to the IR LEDs of the remote control, the oscilloscope switched to the signal display mode only when it was present (not a constant screen update).
When you press a button on the remote control DSO138 shows the shape and frequency of the signal.
It is this oscilloscope that operates at frequencies up to 200 MHz, but it is recommended to read signals up to 100 MHz.
