How to join a separate organization?

you need a github enterprise - https://enterprise.github.com/home
it costs money, but it seems like they give you a try for free.
after that you will have a button "Organizations" and you will be able to add people there.

Enterprise is not required. You must be added to a foreign organization by a member of this organization who has rights to add other members.
You can create your own organization for personal use and invite other people there.
take.ms/aGEVs (in the top panel "+" → "New organization")
I made an organization "paulradzkov-forks" in which I store forks of other people's projects so that they do not mix with my personal repositories.
And the paulradzkov-heaven organization, where I bury dead projects.
