How to issue the same IP to two mac addresses in ISC DHCPd?
Good afternoon!
There is ISC DHCPd version 4.2.2 on Debian.
There is one Ethernet network, and a wi-fi router, where the cable cannot be laid, wi-fi is a bridge to Ethernet.
DHCP server, perfectly gives IP either through cable or over the air.
But there was a problem, there is a laptop that you need when it does not work from the cable, but enters the wi-fi zone to give out the same IP as on the cable. It is logical that the poppy addresses on the map and on wi-fi are different. And routing, and accesses are tied to IP.
Reading the ISC DHCPd documentation, as I understand it, it is impossible to issue one IP to two macs, or is it still possible somehow?
I tried to contrive and specify another "host" in the configuration file, but then the address does not give out in general.
# CHEF-BOOK
host CHEF-BOOK {
hardware ethernet 00:75:A3:25:4F:A9;
fixed-address 10.254.77.111;
}
# CHEF-BOOK-wire
host CHEF-BOOK-wire {
hardware ethernet 15:a2:e7:33:56:ab;
fixed-address 10.254.77.111;
}

Hmm... Why not just issue exactly the same permissions and accesses for one more IP?
Just think, what will happen if you connect the wire and Wi-Fi at the same time?
