How to interact with the contractor when developing a website design?
I was assigned to develop an adaptive landing page for the company. I am doing the layout and content, the design will be handled by a third-party designer. I am a techie and only have a basic understanding of usability and UX. I also have no experience of dealing with third-party contractors. The question is the following. What is the best way to establish interaction between the developer, i.e. me and the designer? I know that there is a lot of information on the Internet, but I would like to somehow structure this knowledge. It would be cool if someone could point out how best to organize this process. In particular, the following questions are of interest:
-Where can I get a sample of a well-composed tech. tasks? What are the main wishes and requirements that should be included there?
- What free prototyping tools can you recommend?
- How often should the designer submit intermediate results for evaluation? I would not want to end up with something completely different from what we expected.

Many to many table (FK per game, FK per entry from items, unique index on these two fields). At the end of the game, clear all entries from this M2M table with the game ID.
First you need to determine which pages the designer should render. For example, for an online store, all the pages are painted here webdela.ru/blog/design/struktura-razdelov-internet...
And here about the preparation of technical specifications for design
webdela.ru/blog/design/razrabotka-tekhnicheskogo-z..
In short :
For prototyping:
moqups.com
https://draw.io
Edraw MindMap (free version)
Quickly pick a look based on background colors and elements:

-Where can I get a sample of a well-composed tech. tasks? What are the main wishes and requirements that should be included there?
- Google , Yandex : ' )
Almost all briefs or TK are of the same type, that's right.
- What free prototyping tools can you recommend?
Wireframe.cc
Balsamiq Mockups
Ninjamock.com
- How often should a designer submit intermediate results for evaluation? I would not want to end up with something completely different from what we expected.
Iterations with an interval of several elements, for example, I drew a header or main menu / footer / etc - a demonstration, otherwise, in addition to money, you will also lose time.
The designer needs a prototype and technical specifications for the design. The prototype can be drawn in mockup, ninjamoke, or somewhere else. You can entrust this to the designer himself (additional payment). That is, he drew, you said yes. He colored. Here is the design. The implementation is yours.
Intermediate evaluations: First screen prototype - full prototype - "painting" of the first screen - full layout.
In any case, the designer needs clear requirements so that he does not get blown into space. And for this (especially if it is a landing page) you need good ideas about marketing and your USP. So just leaving everything at the mercy of the designer is risky.
